June 17, 2021 (Washington, DC) – Travel Again, an advocacy organization focused on restoring traveler confidence, announced today that travel industry veteran Chris Schutte has taken on a newly formed role as operations director. Schutte will oversee general operations including managing efforts with Policy Advisors and Association Roundtable members, website updates and the monthly Traveler Confidence Index.
“Having volunteered with Travel Again since its inception, we are thrilled to have Chris take on this new role and bring additional support to Travel Again as the industry recovery effort begins to gain momentum,” said Mike McCormick, Travel Again co-founder. “Chris’ experience in business operations and knowledge of the travel industry are invaluable in our efforts to advance Travel Again’s mission to unite the travel industry and drive both travel and economic recovery.”
Schutte was previously a North American Business Development Director for Forward Keys, a company that analyzes global passenger data to understand and predict the movement of travelers for the international travel ecosystem. Before that he worked in partnership, marketing and client services roles at several travel companies throughout his career including TripAdvisor, InsureMyTrip.com and Phocuswright.
The Travel Again agenda centers around its recently released Recovery Framework - a robust plan for safely rebuilding the travel industry, along with specific priorities and recommendations. The framework reflects the work of the organization’s Policy Advisors, which include 25 senior leaders who represent various sectors of the travel industry, as well as input from leading scientists and policy experts.
