Sixty-seven people were killed after an American Airlines jet and a U.S. Army helicopter collided and crashed into the Potomac River.


The collision on Wednesday that sent a passenger jet and a U.S. Army helicopter plunging into the Potomac River in Washington is the deadliest air crash in the country in 20 years.


The crash killed 67 people and left no survivors. On Monday, salvage crews began pulling pieces of the jet’s fuselage from the water as the search for bodies continued.
